Finding upcoming events in Kenya or anywhere around the world is quite simple than many people would imagine. You just need to have the right tools and sources to get the best out of your free time. Whether it’s a weekend and you want to have a good time or it’s your off-day but you just don’t feel like staying at home, we’ve got you covered. This small list is more than enough to get you the best event that suits your taste around your neighborhood. And if none of them suits you then there is your chance to shine by creating, promoting and organizing your own event, how hard could it be?

1. APPS

In this case we only have one Kenyan app that we can truly recommend since we have tested it and it’s quite a nice tool to have with you.

TurnApp Events app

Turn app imageAccording to the description on their website, “TurnApp Events is a search-engine-based platform that avails events from multiple sources. You never know what you are missing until you experience it!” The app siphons almost all events from other events websites and curates them in one place. You can also set reminders, add an event and even share to your social media accounts.  Feel free to visit the TurnApp events website to find out more about the mobile app. You can also download the app from google play store.

2.EVENT LISTING WEBSITES

Eventbrite

This is a very interesting website, when you open their website, and click “browse events” it automatically detects your location and generates a new page with a list of events which you can sort by relevance or date. On top of that they also have a map. This website is quite detailed so you don’t need to check other websites. To get most out of this platform, you can download their Android app or IOS app depending on the device that you use.

Events254.co.ke

This website lists their events with monthly views so you can be able to see what will be happening in December as early as in July. They also suggest free listings of any events on their websites and all one has to do is to send them an email. They may not have a big listing of events but its worth checking out for some cool events.

Gigwapi

Gigwapi.comgig wapi is an online social guide to fun events, tickets and other fun stuff happening around you. Their events are organized in a nicely done grind format that allows you to see multiple events at once. Head out to gigwapi events website to find out more on upcoming events.

3. SOCIAL MEDIA

Facebook

Facebook has proved to be amazing tool in more ways than we can count. Apart from being a social networking platform, facebook has created a new world of possibilities. Individuals and businesses can now market and even sell their products on this channel. But another unique tool that facebook offers is the ability to discover events you’ve attended previously, events you’ve been invited to and events that you are attending. When you are logged in to you facebook account, just head down to the events section and you can be able to see your nearby events, events you have been invited to and past events. Better yet you can also create your own events. Want to know how to create an event, facebook has created a customized events website to that demonstrates how to create and promote both public and private events.
